I do tend to be suspicious...
When a supposedly well-known or respected source writes an article, and almost every last reference in Google is to that one article. Most climate scientists I research have a large body of other work besides the single article or paper I'm concerned with, never mind home pages for their universities or organizations. I've found enough background to show me that this is a real person, but I'd like to see more.
That being said, some of his points, based on other sources, are valid ones.
