Yup....for commercial flights.
Another hare-brained idea from this administrations' Crony Group.
It's not like any of our commercial airliners have been taken out, but heck....why wait?
The defense industry has a good hold on the market nowadays, with all the big, bad boys in Washington redirecting the taxpayers' money.
Fort Worth-based American Airlines has said "anti-missile defense is best handled by stopping terrorists from getting missiles that could shoot down commercial jets and by improving security around airports." Sounds reasonable, right?
So! I thought to myself, somebody has to be profitting from this, and I wonder if it comes back to our "good ole boys club"........and boy, does it ever! BAE Systems PLC is the manufacturer, and it's a British Aerospace company with major subsidiaries in the US. So we go there, look up the Director and bingo! come up with Mr. Walter Havenstein who is Chief Operating Office for BAE Systems plc, a $28 BILLION global defense company; with deep ties to Raytheon. (1991 as Director for the Communications Manufacturing Division and later became VP and GM of the Surveillance and Control Division and vice president for Tactical Data Systems.)
Now if you've been doing your homework, or have been paying attention, you'll see the deep dark ties raytheon has with the CIA and NSA (naturally even). But it was raytheon who developed the remote control systems for commercial airliners AND were the ones who flew the Saudis out of the US after 9/11.
Money goes a long way when you're <connected.>
