In all the years I've had a text-capable cel phone, I've received only one peice of spam...and it was from my cel phone service provider. I sent a return message *pleading* that they stop spamming my phone and haven't gotten one since.

Maybe it's just pure luck, or maybe they actually received--and respected--my plea.
