She got 112,238 votes, Obama got 104,757. A margin of 7,481 votes.
Edwards got 48,666 votes. The margin between him and Obama was over 56,000 votes. That's as close to a tie between Clinton and Obama as anyone cares to put it.
That the media made a bunch of stupid predictions based on a bunch of polls (what else is new) doesn't change that.
One theory that makes sense to me is that independents went for McCain when they thought Obama was a shoo-in, but that's just a theory.
There is no Hillary to "be." She's a complete chameleon, and happened to find a color that worked for the moment.
