re: How quieting

This systems professes that the Divine is within ourselves but cannot be heard by the conscious mind.
They teach you to erase memories from your subcounscious mind and to reach a Zero Level, where your subconscious has no more thoughts and therefore cannot attract problems.
Once there are no thoughts in the subconscious level, then the Divine will be able to be heard and inspire the subconscious who then makes the decisions that the conscsious mind is left to choose or to discard.
The process is very simple and very interesting.
And to my own benefit, it has worked so far on a couple of things for me (in just 2 days!)

I've always been a believer that our mind is capable of greater things and always been affascinated that while we are awake, our brain is almost asleep... and that when we are sleeping, our brain is full of activity.

Our subconscius does drive our life, as tested by many neurologists. It's what our conscious mind does with the decisions is what we call free will.

Religions are doing the same thing. The help you pray to a Divine to help you go through a day in a state of happiness and calm. What you are doing is feeding back to the subconscious mind what you want. Only the constant repetition (or what the Ho oponopono describes as the constant "Cleaning of repeating memories") you will be able to "convince" your subconscious mind.

The law of attraction.
This is something that everyone talks about. In the Secret, or in any other Selfawareness book or self improvement book. It's always mentioned, with different words but the same meaning.
Religions are the same. Why should we forgive and love the one that just hurt us? Because by forgiving and loving, you are attracting love and forgiveness to you, and if you have a strong faith... or if you have reached nirvana... or if you reached the Zero Level, your attraction will be more effective and the changes will be dramatically fast and border line "miracles".

I've always loved esotheric stuff. The Secret touched a string with me, but wasn't enough. Joe Vitali, who took part in The Secret, was the one that brought Ho oponopono back to the media. Because of it, we was interviewed by Larry King and Oprah. This just means success for him, it's not reported as a stamp of approval.

Overall, you are what you believe and you can choose what to believe in. I never liked the rigid, follow the book methods of many religions, nor I liked basing my faith on another entity or a living person....
I prefer believing that my mind and my essence can make my world a better place. That my mind alone can guide me towards everything I desire and need.
Ho oponopono (don't matter the funny name) is so far the closest thing I have found to what makes me feel happy no matter what the circumstances are.

Since I started, I have been busy cleaning, cleaning and cleaning.

Peace begins with me
Peace of I
