Soviet plan in the late 1960s
The Soviet manned lunar plan called for two cosmonauts to go to the
Moon and just one of them to land on the surface. They did manage
to fling some turtles aournd the Moon aboard Zond 5 in 1968.
Never say never about what space tourists may do some day. Going to
the Moon will probably be about as big a deal as hopping a plane from
NY to LA. Which will be kind of sad when you think about it.
