Some of the missing scenes from Cosmos episode 2
Though not complete, these two clips from YouTube will show what was
edited out from the Science Channel presentation of Cosmos episode 2,
which I presume was done to make room for the commercials.
The heike crab story told intact:
The channel also heavily whittled down the bit near the end of
the episode about Sagan's fellow researcher Bishun Khare who
demonstrated how the ingredients for life may have been
made on the very ancient Earth.
Is this how it is going to be for the rest of the series? Every part
of every episode of Cosmos was put there purposefully and carefully.
I feel like the series is being butchered for the sake of some ads and
the perceived need to speed up the pace for modern audiences.
