Imagine my surprise to read you trying to blame the smears on Democrats. Not. I sorta figured that's where you're trying to go, but I was hanging on to the hope that you hadn't gone completely whacko.

Gosh, do I know who wrote that Obama smear...and the hundreds of smears before it targeting Democrats? Nope. Do I know who wrote any of the hundreds of past Republican smears directed at Democrats that choke the archives of places like snopes.com? Nope. Am I incapable of recognizing the statistical improbability of your argument? Nope. Am I so gullible that I'll forget the persistent pattern of smears over the years, and abandon common sense and buy your argument that, despite "NO evidence", a Democrat wrote this smear? Or any given smear? Nope. Am I gullible enough to extrapolate from the single datum of Cohen a vast decades-long Democratic conspiracy to circulate millions of smears against Democrats among Republicans? Nope.

Do I see in this latest Obama smear the same twisted wingnut mentality, the same voice, that produced all the other smears? You bet. It's the real deal, the comprehensive all-encompassing insane hatred that only a true Winger can pull off.

Am I confused by your assertion that a Republican in a basement isn't a Republican? You bet. Or you're confused, and based on the evidence before us, I'm betting on the latter.
