You lament the casualties and then turn around and complain when soldiers lives can be spared by using the tax dollars we paid specifically to keep our soldiers alive should they face the enemy.
Misplaced charity is the same reason that hospital in Dallas has 7 out of 10 live births delivered to illegal immigrants. It's the same reason the economy is in the toilet.
The left is a political two-face. They want security, want results and then drone on about "unfair" military practices that save thousands of lives.
You can't have it both ways. If you want our armies to return to the Roman "lock shields" formation and advance with spears into the enemy stronghold, then you can't complain about the increased deaths (on both sides) from such primitive warfare techniques. Going after known insurgents with air power is a great idea. No one has much time to be warned by radio of approaching convoys, no munitions and explosives can be moved safely out of hiding to kill innocents another day. Pretending the other way saves lives is preposterous - it doesn't. It never has. Bunker to bunker fighting is the MOST lethal. Nervous soldiers in hostile territory shoot first and ask questions later. They always have and always will. Air power, when available removes much of this personal fear from causing on the fly slaughter.
The left must play chess by tying up their queen and rooks, pretending they don't exist. Then they are probably surprised they keep losing.
Or is it just that the left has to bitch, bitch, bitch about EVERYTHING? Iraq getting worse, Iraq getting better...the same answer - bitch about it!
;-)
