Space/Science » in reply to 2007 TU 24, an asteroid to come very close to the Earth on the 29th

shouldn't there be a limit

which within it we can call it a flyby?

I understand it's the closest a meteorite of that size got to the Earth, but for pete's sake... the moon is closer!
It seems to me that a lot of people have jumped on the "deep impact" bandwagon and now stuff like this one becomes NEWS...
Considering they haven't sent a probe out to intercept and impact or done anything else out of the ordinary, I wouldn't call this news.

... or am I just being grumpy???
