Interesting comments of the "Apollo shape".

There seem to be quite a bit of sentiment about the "Apollo shape", regarding it as passe', something which needs to be grown past in a maturing field.

I would think that with similar goals similar designs would be commonplace, and even desireable. After all, look at how many land reptiles and mammals, with eons to evolve, have 4 feet touching the ground, a head in front with a mouth, nose and two eyes. Or fish, generally a longer shape, fins, vertical tail, mouth and eyes in front, gills right behind the head.

Similar goals, similar designs. Not all bad.
