A basic difference in Philosophy, you view a boat as an end of its own.
To me it's a tool, a pretty shiny tool that you can take pride in to be sure. But part of all the tools I use in the pursuit of fish that are in dire need of catching. By me ;8~D.
If we were to race to Hivykiki, we'd both be using cloth, you'd win of course, but it would be fun. While I do prefer a motor for what I use a boat for, I am not so set I can't see which is best for which purpose.
