You guys are too kind. But I'm starting to wonder if I'm just a technician, not an artist. The scribbling counterpart of a session sideman, the writer's equivalent of a piano bar performer. The inspiration to jump in and take up something I'm not sure I can finish just doesn't seem to be there, but I'm looking for it as hard as I can.
But thanks for the confidence in me. Maybe that's what I'm short of.
