The hydrothermal alteration part has really got me thinking. Much to consider there: The acidic leeching, hydro-dynamic over-pressurization induce fractures, vein locking, side-stepping progradation, meteoric verses magmatic water source, even the often phallic geometry of epithermal ore bodies...
But I think I'd bore y'all to tears.
