Polarid stops making instant film
Here.
Back in the day when I was making money as a patent draftsman, I picked up an old SX-70 at a pawn shop, and it did yeoman service taking pictures of inventions and such for my work. It wasn't the only instant camera available, or even the best, but it had SLR capacity and the ability to focus on something only about six inches away. Great camera, and a spectacular technological achievement (an SLR instant camera that folded flat!) that was considered at least as amazing as the IPhone when it first came out.
