Our Conservative friends insist on seeing the world as an elegant tree-lined suburban street, and on the sidewalk in front of each neatly trimmed lawn in front of each pretty little bungalow is an adorable entrepreneurial kid with a lemonade stand, each competing in a free market by shaving pennies off the price of each glass of refreshing beverage. Meanwhile, their customers, wholesome families dressed in their Sunday best, leisurely stroll from vendor to vendor for the best possible price, and the biggest, frostiest glass.
Can they really believe this gargonzola, or are they just trying to bamboozle the rest of us into signing on to their program?
