If you leave it there, you can overlook the fact that the top 1 percent pays well over a third of the entire income tax burden. The top 10 percent pay 70 percent. The top 50 percent pay almost all of it.

That a person who pays five million dollars in taxes has that reduced to $4.95 million doesn't mean they aren't paying their fair share of what it takes to keep this country going, a burden that keeps growing every year, mostly due to wealth redistribution and entitlements.

Almost every damn thing you see around you that is paid for by income taxes is being paid for by a wealthy person, here and now. Keep that in mind.
