WASHINGTON - "Republican John McCain says there will be no new taxes during his administration if he is elected president."
However, besides joking about bombing Iran, he's getting endorsements for attacking Iran. "Bolton praises McCain on Iran." And he wants more troops for Iraq and Afghanistan, both lost causes, unending drains with no return except in body bags.
Now, how are you going to borrow and spend, spend and borrow, spend spend spend and borrow borrow borrow if the interest rates are kept artificially low and the economy is in the tank? And not the Abrams tank. Wonder how he plans on doing that? With the Euro gaining respectability, every dollar losing value, with more stable markets available at higher rates, and McCain thinks there's enough left to fight more wars, attend to our own people, manage our debt and deficits, and not raise taxes.
It sure makes "tax and spend" look responsible, doesn't it? Makes it look fiscally conservative. I think the economy will move down fast enough to make McCain and his ambitions mostly moot. There will only be enough money to launch some aging nuclear missiles at Iran, and a few at caves in Torah Borah. Nothing expensive.

"McCain says no new taxes if he's elected" - but more wars. Hmmm.
