The "shoot / don't shoot" decisions that have to be made in the kind of warfare we're dealing with in Iraq and elsewhere are straining even human intelligence, and mistakes are being made even so.
No way are artificial intelligences going to be up to this kind of decision for many years.
They may let robots carry non-lethal weapons in the future.
