Does That Come Off As Antagonistic To Anyone Else?

I was trying to show that all science diverges greatly from religion in method and pupose, but that is not necessarily a slam on religion. John's a very rational scientific guy in general. I'm trying to soften his resistance to evolution, there's no way I could brow beat him into accepting it. Our company E-mail filter blocked the message due to the links so I have a chance to rewrite it. Should I leave that whole section out and just give him the ID counter arguements he asked for in what I consider a show of fair mindedness?
