Even if she wasn't in politics, she has a kid in school. What was she thinking?

Answer: she wasn't. I find this kind of be typical of people who are astonishingly self-indulgent, with little thought of the impact of her actions. "I want to do it. Isn't that enough?" Horribly common nowadays, unfortunately.
