That poor guy had that airplane cross-controlled to the max. He would have had to try to keep his right wing down as he straightened out to touch down, and the wind was just too strong.
He just barely missed, though, and the wind picked up that wing. The decision to land, which was undoubtedly made at Lufthansa headquarters, may not have been the smartest thing, but he's one helluva pilot!
