My wife talked about a study she'd read
the other day that compared the relative ratings of all of our Presidents with their years of prior experience in government and guess what?
Our most highly regarded leaders seemed to be on the low end of government experience levels including people such as Lincoln and Roosevelt.
When will we learn that time in office leads mostly to corruption and a disconnect from the very people you are supposed to represent? Why do we allow these candidates to get away with planting this suggestion that experience is so valuable.
Obama's right. The quality we're looking for is integrity and judgment.
