Minsky's AI Excuse #101
My man Minsky never runs outa new and creative excuses for the lack of substantive AI progress. You know, the AI he 1st said would emerge back in the 70s. Like commercial Fusion power, THE cure for cancer, Drexlerian nanoassemblers and the latest climate based scientific funding grant fads, AI is another quest that is perpetually 20 or more years in the future. Not unpredictably, people tend to 'forget' past prognostications after a couple decades. Ya think? Thank God for the Internet.
