Space/Science » in reply to Night of Darkness in Belgium, saturday 15th

I thought it was to be 8:00PM-9:00PM, March/29/2008?

That's when cities across Canada and the USA
will turn out lights for one hour. Two weeks from
this Saturday.

It's a good time to do it: Saturday, March/29th.
At 8:00pm - 9:00pm that night the Moon will be at
Last Quarter, so it won't rise above the horizon until
around midnight.

And even up here in Calgary it should be quite dark
around 8:45pm,; the sun will set close to 8:00pm
that day.

And if not only streetlights, but office lights
and many residences turn their lights off for an hour
[assuming clear skies] you should be able to see
the MILKY WAY!!
