Saddam's connection with terrorism
An Institute for Defense Analyses report was discussed recently in the news, covering 600,000 documents examined in Iraq, and what they revealed about Saddam and terrorism.
The only excerpt available to the public so far is here.
This was widely reported in the media as "Report shows no direct connection between Saddam and al Qaeda." The words "no smoking gun" were quoted quite a bit. End of story.
Others have noticed a bit more in the document.
