If they do not try to recreate the spindown anomaly in a controlled manner, they may not recapture the Pioneer Anomaly. Note that to present even though the New Horizons has been spin stabilized, like the Pioneers, on its way out to Pluto while in hibernation, there has been no report of the anomaly. New Horizons may be a better built ship that does not leak enough gas to make a spindown anomaly.
