re: Ya Think?

Dyslexia on the antarctic, point taken.

The pretty picture does not, however, make a point. What we DO have, over the last 13-15 years, is an unusually large number of unusually large shelves breaking up. THAT is a trend. I have no idea what period of time that graph is bound to. If its 1 years deltas (unlcear), then that doesn't mean very much. If its atmospheric temp and not regional ocean temp (unlclear), then it does not mean much. What you need to do to make a point is show the temperature data for that area going back 25 years, so we have a base-line to put the last 13 years of ice shelf break up, and show that there is no correlation between the regional warming and ice shelf break up (then rinse wash repeat for currents) and the trends in temperature.

This is pointless.
