The scripts and the actors were STELLAR in the TOS time-line, the sets and the S/FX were cheesy sometimes but as a teener in the 60's any sci-fi was gobbled up . Granted as I staed before, moving rocks and visable matte paintings of shuttle craft were hokey, but hey, the storylines/scripts were out of this world. The Guardian was pretty neat and the sets from A PIECE of the ACTION was pretty good, my uncle ran a SPEAKEASY during Prohibition and he actually sat down and watched it with me , a 60+ yr old guy born before 1903 was asking me about spaceships and booze and Kraco and Zeppo...... Funny! They did predict graphic displays , chips for info storage and the neat bio beds along with alot of other stuff.
