Oh he'll get it.

When they print the numbers on pretty sheets of paper in a little leather folder with the Presidential seal on top and explain the consequences such as gas prices shooting up to 10.00 a gallon and over, 35% business failures within a year and a half, massive unemployment and a full scale depression - suddenly securing the Middle East, and "staying the course" in Iraq becomes the easy option.

Mark my words - if the sky falls and Obama does get elected he will rethink and readdress the Iraq issue in such a manner that his "exodus" or "draw-down" will also take decades, leaving key forces in place.
