Other fields such as those dominated by electronics like communications and computers have advanced markedly since the 60's, curious that this hasn't applied to rocketry.
Perhaps what is needed is a space-oriented market place that is directed directly to consumers as are the electronics oriented industries.
Anyone know anything in space for which that would apply? Perhaps if there were a product with great consumer demand that really required zero-gravity to produce that would do it. Then you would have a great drive to reduce the cost to space.
Funny, it would be great if someone could come up with something like that just to drive down the cost for space-access.
