How to shut down Ares 1 and Orion
As with our troops in Iraq, shutting down the Ares 1 and Orion are going to be difficult tasks.
Difficult, but not imposslble.
First, keep the shuttle running until the next manned system is in place.
A six person capsule makes no sense, when the job can be better done by two 3 man capsules,
which capsules can be launched by a variety of launchers.
Transfereing the effort and jobs from Ares 1 to Ares 5 should be relatively easy to do, politically.
