Jean-François said he prefered a flight taking him to a very inclined low orbit, so that he can see all the Earth and all the seasons..(like Mullane describes in his book) while others (like Parazinsky) would rather go as high as possible (seeing more at once but with less details).

Mario, who spacewalked, said he did manage to see stars in the shadow of Earth, while outside and was quite puzzled he saw stars closer than others and after blinking the eyes, the closer stars seemed further...As if the brain couldn't grasp the size of the universe. The milky way did appear with relief and not a 2 dimensional thing (I've heard other astronauts explain the same thing, before (about the Moon)).
