I was not aware that the scientific community abhorred the “why†word to such an extend.
This thread started from my question of “why,†now I realize that I should have asked; “how†the Earth’s magneto tail charges the plasma sheet to about 10 times hotter than the solar wind?
To extrapolate on the meaning of the words: I should not ask “why†we are discussing this subject but rather “how†to come to a mutually acceptable definition of the words.
