There's an observation lurking in that statement.

And yet, the number one exporter is not the US, but Germany, in the Eurozone!

When Hitler scared many Germans away from Germany to the US the US shortly after experienced the biggest production and technology surge in its history. Rockets, computers, industry gains made 1945-1965 the period of unlimited growth.

The demographics are playing against the US again and have been working downhill since Reagan's/Congress' "one-time" amnesty in 1986 which failed to stem the tide of illegals and actually increased the flow massively. The less educated/ illiterate come over to the US in hordes.

The combination of byproducts of the German educational system transplanted into the US capitalist/free environment was the best "mix" for progress and growth in the world.

It's quite obvious what the US needs is for somebody to scare a few more Germans out of Germany to the US again. They do well in Germany, but over here they do even better.

Keep spending those Euros over here Raoul.
