Help me understand.
This is clearly a huge technological achievement. Measuring anything by less than the diameter of a proton is absolutely incredible. AND, I'm not sure what the significance is.
No one has doubted Einstein in the last 50 years. He and his math is firmly fixed in the physic's firmament. So what is the significance of one more validation? At the very limits of our ability to measure?
Did anyone doubt this would be found? And exactly where it was found? Is "physics" any different now than it was last month?
I'm asking these questions in all seriousness, a bit embarrassed, certain I am displaying a great deal of ignorance.
