I don't watch news anymore.
I simply scan the web news here and abroad, read the bleeding left NY Times and the godawful shrunken Arizona Republic. I don't know who the newscasters are for any local station or CNN for that matter. I don't watch talking heads.
The time I spend reading old news in TIME periodicals, I place under "reading history" like reading Will & Ariel Durants tomes - only a centuries or more recent than anything they covered. It's more relaxing because it is old news and TIME was not hiring total PC/anti-US journalists quite yet.
