We've managed to reinvent Apollo.

And now we're making plans to scrap the Shuttle, and scrap the Space Station.

Keep in mind where I imagined we might be by 2001. For God's sake, it's been what, about 35 years since the last man set foot on the Moon?

If I had told you the day Apollo 17 splashed down that it would be over a generation before anyone else went to the Moon, would you have believed me?

I'm ready to see what the other guys can do.
