My idea presidential candidate would make getting off our oil dependency the countries top priority. I heard McCain say it should be our countries number one priority, but he opposes drilling in northern Alaska. He said he is an environmentalist. I am too, but I do not see the harm with drilling in the nature preserve as long as it’s done right.

I do not know where he stands on nuclear power. My idea candidate would push for electric cars and nuclear, wind, water and solar power to power them.

Still, I was thrilled to hear him say that this should be America’s top priority and it is his top priority. I would like to know more about how he plans on doing this. Getting off oil for our energy needs will help our economy and national security. America must do this, and do it soon. It is our top priority. I don’t know where Obama stands on this.

My ideal candidate would be a strong supporter of space exploration, and serious about getting permanent bases on the Moon and Mars. They would use this challenge to aspire Americans. They would open up this new frontier. Neither McCain nor Obama has said much about this.

They would secure our borders. I like part of McCain’s plan, but I am not crazy about the whole thing. It’s not a strong enough plan, but neither is Obama’s.

My idea candidate would shrink the Federal government and cut spending and taxes. This is where I have big problems with Obama. I fear he is going to raise my taxes, and I am already stretched thin. The Middle Class can not afford to have their taxes raised.

My idea candidate would understand that local government knows the needs of its people far better than the Federal Government.
