A serious question: What is the proper code of cultural ethics to follow?
It is clear that the small tribe is doomed- I don't mean they are in imminent danger of dying tomorrow (although that is certainly a possibility)- I mean simply that the tribal culture will eventually be swallowed up by our global civilization, maybe peacefully- maybe violently... it is foolish to think otherwise given history. Given that inevitability what is the ethical way to proceed?
Think of this as a very real chance to work out an equivalent to star trek's Prime Directive.
To be honest I dont think there is a single indisputably right answer.
