This photo depicts an image of the waxing gibbous moon as projected onto a white piece of cardboard by a 20 inch Dobsonian on a tracking mount last night. The exposure was quite long (25 seconds) to record the moon and surroundings in my backyard observatory. I'd done this sort of thing with the sun on a wall before but thought that I'd give this a try. The moon image is reversed since it is a reflection. You can see many craters including Sinus Iridum, the Bay of Rainbows, at the top. Nikon D70 ,Nikkor 18-200mm 25s f/4.2 at 32.0mm ISO 400
