Modular nuclear power
I would like to see some of the pros and cons of this concept discussed. Fortunately for the technology, but unfortunately for ease of analysis, there are many versions.
Does the idea of a "bury it and forget it for ten years" reactor sound workable? Can such a design be constructed to safely crap out and fade away inside its shielding if forgotten? Made earthquake proof? Used with fuels that discourage pilfering attempts (would have to be a heck of a "pilfer.")
