I saw the film, ages ago, although to be fair, I never read the novel. Still, Rand wrote the screenplay, if she thought it was unfair to her novel, she should have followed her principles and not participated.

I could never undertand where Roark was coming from. If you don't like the boss's specs, for either reason of professional ethics or artistic integrity, you can always quit. I know from personal experience that is not an easy decision to make, I sympathize with those who have to make it and I resist glibly criticizing those who hesitate or knuckle under. But still, didn't he blow up the buildings? It was his boss's nickel, if he didn't like the job he should have just walked off.

Like I said, I saw the film a long time ago, maybe I just don't remember it completely.
