A second answer
If you're looking at the post, you can get its URL from the "Message URL" link below the post's mini table of contents.
You right click on the link to copy the URL to the clipboard to paste into a post. In Firefox select "Copy link location" in the popup menu. In IE, it's "Copy shortcut".
