McCain isn't the best the GOP can do, not by a long shot. Best case scenario is that McCain picks a strong VP, wins the election, then strokes out and has to be replaced. McCain is a far better candidate than Osama, but nowhere near good enough to be President. His policies would be a disaster for the US.
