re: Wikipedia weirdness
I'm under the impression that there is a large contingent of web nuts whose sole hobby is working Wikipedia.
Because of it's nature, you need to be careful using it as a primary source for important information, but it's an excellent place to find good links to more reliable primary sources. To be fair, Wikipedia has a pretty good rep for accuracy due to the many people just dying to catch someone else in a mistake.
