A question or two.
First, some background.
There are 360 degrees in a circle.
60 minutes in a degree [and 60 minutes in a hour].
So 60 minutes [and 60 seconds] are both astronomy and timekeeping values.
But where and when did both values of minutes originate?
Was it in ancient Babylon? Or was it in ancient Egypt?
And why does the 360 degrees per circle value nearly coincide
with the diurnal value of 365.25 days per year?
....What is the origin?
