From Merriam-Webster, a few interesting neologisms that have recently made it into the dictionary:
wingnut
(noun) : A person with extreme political leanings. Generally refers to leftwing or rightwing parties.
The author of this anti-government book is just a wingnut expressing unpopular views.

I didn't know "wingnut" could also refer to the Left...you learn something new every day!
winkage (noun) : the use of certain emoticons to convey tone in forum posts.
When responding to the latest board post with a rather biting entry, darcyrobinsonSDAI-Tech1 made sure to use the proper winkage in order to properly show his sacasim, after all, it's all about the winkage.

Winkis (other) : If you are funny or strange and you are consistently following a patern of wierdness, you are a winkis. It is just funny to call people winkises (Because they are.)
If Bob is consistenly doing something wierd and he acts or does something strange that follows that steriotype of Bob then Bob is a winkis. (ie. "You are a winkis, Bob.", "Winkis!", or "Bob, you are such a winkis." even "Come here winkis.") —Matthew Nordine, My Rantings, July, 2005
