I screwed up sort of and missed a chance to move to Beaumont on the edge of the Houston growth pattern. Got asked to interview for a production management position at a plant there in my new company after doing process engineering work there they liked. I was so focused on whether I wanted to move there or not and whether I wanted to get back into a pressure cooker that I failed to prep properly to convince them I was up to the job despite not having an extended amount of experience in that type of job. Didn't realize until late in the game it would have been a big promotion. Probably for the best though as I want to have more time with my 7 year old son growing up than I did with my nearly grown daughters.
