As far as non violent muslims...
...you would have to find the worst christians on earth to compare how women, gays, atheists, etc are treated IN THE PRESENT in islamic societies. And how many christians in the world today would support harsh old testament biblical law? Very few I'm certain, but large numbers of peaceful muslims, even majorities in many countries, support sharia law, which is the islamic equivilent.
